It's time to go hardcore

The time to go hardcore has come. It was about time.

We’re all living life. But not all of us live life to the best of our abilities.

There’s a big difference between doing something and doing something hardcore, with 100% of your energy.

I know, I’m claiming something I’m not fully doing myself, but this letter is as much a letter to myself as it is to you.

What does it mean to go hardcore?

A rocket doesn’t hold back when bursting into orbit. It uses 100% of its power for the launch.

Same with life.

We all have indefinite amounts of problems to solve. A problem that gets solved creates a new problem, and if we don’t have problems we create them artificially to keep us entertained.

Humans are wired to solve problems.

But what is even a problem?

Have you ever asked yourself this question?

What is a problem? Worth asking in my opinion.

Well, a problem is an event in the universe that causes suffering.

An event that doesn’t cause suffering wouldn’t be described as a problem, it would just be an “event”. Problems are subjective to human experience.

All of your suffering and pain happens because of problems. Something doesn’t work in the right way or even has the purpose of destroying you.

Solving problems therefore means eliminating pain & suffering, and since pain & suffering are the opposites of joy and happiness, it only makes sense to view problem-solving as our method to create joy and happiness.

The positivity of life you and your loved ones experience is determined by how many and how complex problems you solve.

And by the way, not being able to enjoy your time with your loved ones is also a problem. A very big one in that. Solving problems doesn’t mean trading joy for suffering but, like I said, eliminating suffering so that joy can remain.

SO GO HARDCORE NOW

There’s no reason to hold back.

Go hardcore. Solve problems. Start now and never stop again.

I try to make this my primary focus. Bringing my awareness back to solving problems as often as possible, and as intense as possible.

Some might argue that I’m choosing unnecessary amounts of suffering. That you don’t need to solve problems constantly.

But if you respect mathematics, the logic I laid out at the beginning of this letter should’ve persuaded you.

The more problems you solve the more joy you cause. It’s that simple.

HARDCORE, therefore means, to solve as many problems as possible, and to accept the pain that happens in that process so that greater joy can come afterwards. It’s an intelligent investment of your time.

Why wouldn’t you go hardcore?

Just imagine the opposite for a second.

Let’s say you were limiting your problem-solving, which you are at the moment. It would mean that you choose suffering over joy because of the unwillingness to go through momentary suffering.

“But wouldn’t hardcore mean constant suffering since you never let yourself reap the benefits of solving problems?”

I’m making a bold guess now, but I think no. Joy isn’t something that is necessarily related to physical pleasure. It might be more “pleasurable” to watch Netflix than to read a book, but reading a book solves the problem of stupidity while Netflix the problem of boredom. Stupidity causes more suffering than boredom if you extend the time horizon.

An intelligent and skilled individual will be able to create a better life than a stupid and unskilled person, who on top doesn’t have any patience.

Additionally, it is the case that we impact our surroundings. If your friends and family live shitty lives because of your unwillingness to take on the suffering of problem-solving, their suffering will reflect on you, making you suffer even more.

So the question is really, which suffering do you choose?

The suffering of depression, fatigue, regret, shame, hate, and over-stimulation?

Or the suffering of solving difficult problems?

The decision is yours.

Have you ever gone hardcore?

I’m trying to focus on solving problems as much as possible, but it’s obvious that it’s hard to do so.

That’s why I need to go hardcore.

I’ve had times where I’ve been extreme and times where I wasted time. I liked my life in the extreme phases infinitely more.

So I’m asking you, have you ever gone extreme? Hardcore?

If not, I’m inviting you to the Ozmania Games.

It has the purpose of making problem-solving fun & purposeful.

There will be a bare minimum of daily tasks that guarantee that you improve in the domains of health, wealth, and wisdom.

If you’re interested in such a game, make sure to join the Ozmania community here.

Let’s go hardcore together.

That being said, I’m glad that you read this week’s letter.

I write these words with pure intentions.

I want to increase my skills, make money, seek truth, educate humanity, and explore my curiosity.

Thanks for making this possible!

See you next week.
