Go all in on writing (if you want to understand the universe and become rich)

I was always writing a lot.

Mainly on my phone and in my Apple notes. If you resonate with that, this letter is for you.

What you're doing when writing down your thoughts in your notes is trying to sort things out. You seek to understand things so that you can make the best decisions.

That process is called seeking truth. If you're like me you like to seek the truth in and of itself. Philosophizing itself is a source of joy to you. Fortunately, it is also one of the most useful things you can do, since truth should be the basis for entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship essentially means running an operation that aims to solve a problem for society. If you think that entrepreneurship means making money, think again. Money is an outcome of running a business, not what a company does.

A business produces and distributes products or services. And for those products or services to be useful to its target customer group, truth needs to be sought.

Why?

The information used to build the product or service, the marketing strategy, and every other operation in the business must be true to ensure success. Accurate information produces something valuable with absolute predictability.

You can obviously just "do things", and stumble across something valuable, but even then your future success is dependent on your ability to identify the true factors that led to "value" so that you can replicate them and run a successful operation consistently.

So if you're someone who writes a lot for himself, you're perfectly equipped to start writing in a way that will only increase the scope and scale of what you're doing already. Which is:

  • trying to understand what is true by writing

  • and trying to write something useful to yourself

Therefore, you can start by expanding your writings to the Internet so that they can impact people who are similar to you.

There's a big probability that many other humans could benefit from your thoughts. These thoughts would get them closer to understanding the universe and, therefore, improve their lives since they can make better decisions as a consequence.

If you're writing on your Apple notes or something similar, there really isn't a big jump from writing simple X posts. X, the social media platform Elon Musk took over, is perfect to distribute your thoughts.

It's literally the same as writing in your notes, and it opens the possibility to make money. You can

  • sell products/services to the audience that you build

  • connect with people who are similar-minded and grow together

  • and can even make money from writing tweets alone through X Rev share

Incredible, for real. Win-Win.

Start right now. Literally, go to X, and write your first tweet.

But always ask yourself these two questions before posting something:

  1. Is this true?

  2. Is this useful?

Respect these two questions and you're good to go.

Writing online will also force you to improve your writing skills by a lot since you need to write in a way that makes others understand what you mean.

If you don't have the balls yet, just use a random anime character and a random name for your profile, but there really is nothing to be afraid of. Just post truth.

Please only continue reading this letter after having made your first post on X.

The next level

So, now that you have started this magical journey, here's how you can take it to the next level, but before I dive in, a quick word on imposter syndrome:

Imposter syndrome is legit, and you need to find a solution to it. You might feel weird, afraid, and ashamed for posting stuff on social media, but really, what do you have to lose? You will probably not get famous, but even if, is it really that bad? After all, you'll be famous for posting true and useful thoughts. A positive thing to be known for. And also, let's say a million people now start knowing who you are. The only negative aspect might be that they interrupt your everyday life. That is literally the only negative aspect. But with a million people knowing you, that will probably happen once every 3 months or something like that (if you travel a lot). So chill.

Having addressed this quickly, let's talk about how you can expand this thing so that you have a vision for the future. Because you can really build something amazing here.

So the people on X are social media consumers who prefer to read. The next obvious thing to give them is therefore: more text. In other words, a newsletter.

Writing a newsletter will do many things for you:

  • It will improve your writing and thinking skills like nothing else since you will have to think things through (we're talking 500-1,500 word letters here)

  • It will teach you how to build something valuable (writing a newsletter is the precursor to writing/building an amazing product)

  • It will capture those who like and trust you in an owned marketing channel (no one can take your email list away from you and when you send someone an email, it gets to them. guaranteed distribution of message)

  • It's the best way to sell products or services (even if you're only an affiliate) since you won't sell on social media and can stack goodwill by that

  • It will teach you marketing and sales since you will have to find a way to get people's emails in the first place

And it opens the door to becoming a YouTuber.

If creating YouTube videos is something that interests you, this is the best way. It's exactly what I do.

I write a weekly newsletter which I promote on X, turn that newsletter into a YouTube video, and then sell Ozmania in my newsletter and my YouTube videos. That is my strategy essentially.

Now, if you've read all this but still haven't made a single X post, I can't help you.

Just keep your thoughts to yourself then. Don't become useful to humanity, don't write in a way that increases humanity's consciousness, and don't pursue your fullest potential. Stay right where you are.

But if you have, congrats. You have balls. Genuinely consider writing a weekly newsletter. If you use beehiiv you can even earn up to $5 per subscriber with beehiiv boosts. I personally don't do that since I only want to sell my own products to my audience, but it's a legit way to monetize fast.

Use your writing properly, and you'll be amazed at where you stand in 6 months.
